Re: Say something positive about The Goblet of Fire

I thought that most of it was wonderful (there are always going to be somethings that you feel aren't right) and it is my favourite to date.
Some favourite bits:

Oh yes, I liked that too.
Ron sitting up in bed, pulling the covers up and swearing when he realises that Hermione is in the room.
Loved the tent at the Quidditch World Cup.
Ginny saying that Ron is in Lurve.
Hermione saying smugly, "It's not going to work" when the Twins are going to take the aging potion. Very Hermione.
The twins were great all the way through, where Ron has to practice with Prof. McGonagall and Harry says "You're never going to let him forget this are you?" and they go - "Never", with those wicked grins.
Filch running in the Great Hall. That did make me chuckle.
Filch allowing the cannon to fire too early in all of the tasks and Dumbledore's face each time.
The Bouncing Ferret Scene from start to finish. I loved the bit though where McGonagall says "Is that a student" and the reply is "Technically it's a ferret", and Moody sticking his tongue out after being berated by McGonagall.
I thought that the way Harry was totally isolated from his name coming out of the Goblet, (I don't think that this was done effectively enough in CoS) was well done.
I loved the tasks, all of them. The dragon sequence makes me jump and so does Harry falling down the roof.

I agree with Wimsey about the modification in the second task.
The Graveyard scene and Harry returning to Hogwarts, really well done.

Re: Say something positive about The Goblet of Fire

to be honest, i really liked the fact that how hard the cast and crew are working for Harry Potter fillms. there were coulpe of scenes which were exclusive to the movie..and which i liked- Ron dancing with Mcgonogal and people whistleing..the whole scene actually..was brilliant! the twins esp....were great! thumbs up..they have done full justice of the Weasly twins!!
one thing i could not help but notice is how much confident Daniel has become. he was much better in this movie...finally fitting in! he was better than Emma and Rupert (which came as a surprise to me). great job, Daniel. well done Mike sir.

Re: Say something positive about The Goblet of Fire

I can think of a hundred positive things to say about GoF. Don't worry, I'm not going to.

GoF was by far the best film yet. It was also the funniest. The trio did an awesome job and have developed a lot as they have grown older. Actually, all the main actors were great. There were heaps of funny moments; Neville's "I killed Harry Potter", and Ron and McGonagall dancing are just a couple. The special effects were great too. Overall it was an awesome movie!

Do I have to?!..... ok then I thought David Tennant (Barty Crouch Jnr) was pretty fantastic, didn't loook like I imagine Crouch but he genuinlly seemed evil, and he acted the part so well I didn't care that he didn't look right (whcih is a rare thing for me to say when it comes to Harry Potter!). I can't wait for the new series of Doctor Who, I think he'll make a great Doctor

I also was impressed that this film made me like Hermione. I thought she was portrayed horribly in the other films.
And I DEFINITELY agreee! Actually I only thought she was portrayed horrible in PoA...hated that direction, it made me hate Emma as well because Hermione is one of my favourite characters, but she's seriously won me over by her performance in GoF.

God, good moments, there were many bloody good moments...which one should I choose...

When Fred and George put their names into the cup. NOT the part where Hermione tells them why it's not going to work [the only part where I disliked Hermione] but when the twins start fighting and Hermione just sits alone and continues reading.

I also liked the scene where Snape hits Harry and Ron, it was sooo good.

The look on Ron's face when Hermione saw him in his PJs...hilarious.

And the look on Harry's face when Hagrid meets up with Madame Maxime to take her to see the dragons shall never be forgotten.

I also thought the Amazing Bouncing Ferret was just perfect! I loved Moody pulling faces behind McGonnagall's back XD.

'We do not use transfiguration as a form of punishment, I'm pretty sure Prof. Dumbledore told you that?'

'Might have mentioned it'

Harry asking Cho for the Yule ball and her reaction to it. It is just like I imagined.
The second task. Very good.
Cedrics dad when he discoveres his son's body. Very sad.
The opening of the Quidditch World Cup. Very promising.

Agreed. That was very funny. I have no idea why I loved this film so much since I hated PoA. I think the acting was unbelieveably good. During the other films I always picked up on bad acting and therefore did never get sucked into the film, but with this I was deep in my seat, goose bumps, sweaty palms and a refusal to go to the loo for a much needed wee.

Best bits of acting:

Cedric's face changing when Harry tells him that the first task is Dragons. "What! Are you sure?"

Cho's performance where she is asked to the ball by Harry

Hermione on a high at the Yule ball with Victor Krum and then at the end where she breasks down on the stairs.

Harry when he reurns back with Cedrics body and breaks down

Best bits:

Moodys lesson

Krum working out by the great lake

Introduction of the two other schools in the Great Hall. Better than the book where I was surprised that nothing had been prepared by the other schools

Oh I wont go on. Better stop now...

Re: Say something positive about The Goblet of Fire

There's a whole lot, but this is just the ones I know off the top of my head:

1. Daniel Radcliffe's performance. Playing Harry gets tougher each time round as the stories get darker, and for the first time, he didn't strike a single false note Brilliant.

2. The portrayal of the Harry-Ron, and by extension the Trio, dynamic. It worked so beautifully and it was the first time I found myself believing these three people were actually best friends- even when they fought.

3. Cedric. Soooooo cute, especially with Cho, it made me sad to think what was going to happen to him at the end of the Third Task.

4. The graveyard scene, beginning to end.

5. The Yule Ball. From Hermione's entry to the music- specifically, the song that plays as Hermione comes over to sit down with Harry and Ron, and they start fighting, to Hermione yelling at Ron outside, sending the boys up to bed and then sitting down on the stairs and wrenching off her shoe, crying. I really felt for her, esp. about the shoe- it was probably blistering her by then. Poor thing.

6. GINNY! Finally, a hint that she's turning into the kind of girl Harry could (and now we know, will ) fall for. And she still likes him (witness her "Don't be so mean!" to Fred and George before the second task). Also the way she looked at the Quidditch World Cup, and in her dress robes- she's getting to be so pretty...

7. Fred and George. The Phelps twins were brilliant in every frame they appeared in, I'd fill pages with detailing how if I could but I won't. Fred asking out Angelina was just classic. Also Hermione, Fred and George- "It's not going to work.." right up to when Krum comes in and sees her..

8. Cho. I loved the way she sounded- she's just the girl you imagine Harry would have fallen for, right here.

9. Dumbledore and McGonagall dancing...

10. The Quidditch World Cup stadium- spectacular doesn't begin to cover it.

Oh, yes, don't worry, I'm a book fan before I'm a movie fan. I read GoF soon after it came out...but still, that line wasn't funny to me. Maybe it's me who is weird, because some of the people I went with thought it was funny...oh, well...

As I said before, my favorite "nice" moment in GoF was probably Neville dancing in the dormitory after the Yule ball...for some reason that made me so happy, I don't know why. Am I the only one who thought that was the sweetest thing ever?

Oh- I agree, Krum jogging by the lake was very funny

Re: Say something positive about The Goblet of Fire

There were loads of great stuff in the movie. But just to name a few...

1. Fred and George finally got to be Fred and George.

2. Ron

3. Snape banging Harry and Ron in the head with a book, and the whole study hall scene.

4. Ron.

5. Neville dancing in his pyjamas

6. Ron

7.The grave yard scene was amazing from beginning to end. Ralph Fiennes was perfect He-who-must-not-be-named.

8. Ron

9. Spot on casting

The special effects were amazing, the graveyard scene was good and i must admit voldemort was pretty scary. Fred and George made me laugh and ron was as witty as ever.

Re: Say something positive about The Goblet of Fire

This is what I loved:

1) The part when Cedric jumps out of the tree out of no where.
2) Just after that, when Hermione and Ginny give each other "The Look".
3) Ginny had so much screen time!
4) Hermione was awesome in this movie. I got so sad when Ron was a jerk in the Yule ball scene.
5) It made me cry.
6) All the Fred and George parts- escecially when they were taking bets, the babbling, bumbling bunch of baboons part, and "You're never going to let him forget this, are you?" "Never".
7) All the acting!
8) The ferret scene!
9) Ron pulling up the covers when Hermione came in.
10) Hagrid and Hermione sining the Hogwarts song.
11) Fred, George, and Ron dancing around after the Quidditch World Cup

I could go on and on!

And Peeves, whom Harry had never seen take an order from a student before, swept his belled hat from his head and sprang to a salute as Fred and George wheeled about to tumultuous applause from the students below and sped out the open front doors into the glorious sunset.-

BEST MOMENT EVER!
