Good find. Glad I didn't get my hopes up. I am sure in due time they will release UEs for the last two, but I figured the Wizard's Collection would be the main focus for now.

I saw also they are re-releasing the 3D versions of both Deathly Hallows Parts in October too. That also detracts from a UE release...

Looks like there is more BTS of Ron and Hermione's Kiss. Found these gifs on Tumblr.

Re: Ultimate Film Collection Editions etc

OK, so as someone who has not yet purchased any of the Ultimate Edition Blu Rays, but was planning to once the prices came down a bit... the new Wizard's Collection set suddenly doesn't seem too bad a value after all. Especially here in the UK, where amazon.co.uk are selling it for 177 delivered (about $274) which is only 22/$34 per film, even if you ignore the other stuff in the box.

Could someone confirm that EVERYTHING that was on the Ultimate Edition BluRays is included in this new box (not worried about digital editions, but all the other content)?

Also, could a UK reader let me know if the Philospher's Stone extended edition is now included in Blu Ray format, rather than only being on DVD as it was for the UK Ultimate release?

Oh, and I assume that UK buyers don't miss out on anything that the US folks get?

Andre

Yes, yes and yes.

The set is very good if you haven't bought any of the films before

No, I've avoided buying the Ultimate Editions so far (got all the standard ones on BluRay).

Seems like an obvious (and actually cheaper) way to get them all in one go then.

Re: Ultimate Film Collection Editions etc

Well as expensive as 177 seemed for the Wizard set, the amazon.co.uk price has now gone up to 218!!!

So I guess it's just as well that I ordered it on Thursday then! (It shipped Friday and should be with me on Monday)

I decided I wasn't going to get bitten like I had been with the Page to Screen book, which doubled in price within a few weeks of going on sale - and if I was planning on buying all the Ultimate Edition Blu Rays at some point anyway, this was really the best way to do it.

Andre

Harry Potter Wizard's Collection problems

The Harry Potter Wizard's Collection is released in several countries now, but on the internet messages pop-up about problems with the set. The US release seems to be fine, but the Australian, Canadian, Dutch, French and the UK releases all have one or more wrong discs.

Australian release

The Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2 have the old bonus disc and is therefore missing part 7 and 8 of the Creating the World of Harry Potter documentary and other extras. Warner has started a disc replacement program.

Canadian release

Sorcerer's Stone has the old film disc and is therefore missing DTS-HD Master Audio sound, two versions of the film and the In-Movie Experience. I don't know if there's a disc replacement program.

Dutch release

The Deathly Hallows Part 1 has the old bonus disc and is therefore missing part 8 of the Creating the World of Harry Potter documentary and other extras. No disc replacement progam is started yet and I don't know if there will be one.

French release

Same as the Dutch release.

UK release

Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix have the old film disc and is therefore missing the In-Movie Experience. And the artwork of the 3D-versions of Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2 have been swapped. Warner has started a disc replacement program.

Hopefully there won't be any other countries with problems and I hope that countries who do have problems will have a disc replacement program very soon.

Re: Ultimate Film Collection Editions etc

I can confirm that the UE for the final two films was indeed released today at Target stores. My husband picked up a copy this morning.

It is exclusive to Target for the time being.

Yes. The set includes both films on BluRay, DVD, and UltraViolet. It also includes bonus content (including the Creating the World of Harry Potter documentaries) and the collectible cards and picture book.

The set is exclusive to Target until January 6, 2013. I believe it is in stores only.

Interesting. I went to the Target down the road and they didn't have any HP that I could see, let alone the DH 1&2 UE! It also wasn't mentioned among the Tuesday releases in the Sunday supplement!

Yea, I went on the Target website and I didn't see the UEs besides the older ones. Then again, this wouldn't be the first time I've found something at Target but wasn't able to find it on the website.

I am thinking supply is pretty limited right now which is odd. My husband said there was only one on the shelf at our Target, and when he asked if they had any more copies, they told him that they had only received one copy.

That's really weird. I thought the UEs were suppose to come out in October...I feel like Target shouldn't even have those yet. The next time I go to Target I'll have to check it out for myself..

I realised shortly after I posted my comment that it could be misinterpreted. What I meant was whether it was available on DVD separately like the other UEs. It seems it isn't. (Not that I am buying it, I'm just merely curious)

Correct. It's not sold separately like the other UEs - the set is all-inclusive.

For those interested, the cost for the set is $49.99.
