The Warrior Heir by Cinda Williams Chima

These are great books, just not very well known, so I just figured I'd help the author out a little bit. If anyone has read them or is intersested in reading them just reply to my post and I'll tell you about them or where to get the first chapter.

I really love Warrior Heir--I haven't gotten into Wizard Heir or Dragon Heir yet. I especially liked the two of them sparring in that last battle and her inability to strike a killing blow. It felt like the best scene in the whole book.

yea, but the wizard and dragon heir are so much better, plus now she has a new fantasy trilogy coming out eventually with the first book called the demon king

What are they about? I might read them (when I'm finished with the twenty or so books I am going to read, but it wont take that long, I expect I'm finished over Christmas), if they are the kind of books I like. Maybe you can compare them to another book or something like that too.

EDIT: I can just read it in the Book Trolley! My silliness comes to the surface again...

Re: The Warrior Heir by Cinda Williams Chima

Welll they are about magical guilds but they are really hard to explain. Mainly because she has a different main character in each of the 3 books, yet most of the major characters from the first and second books are in the 3rd book. I wish I could explain more but if you just go to the author's website cindachima.com it will explain everything. And you may want to read fast because she told me in an email that the first book in her next trilogy "The Demon King" will be coming out in the fall of 2009.

Just trying to renew interest, If you want to read more books that are similar to Harry Potter I only have one suggestion. Read "The Warrior Heir" by Cinda Williams Chima. It is part of an already complete trilogy. You can even go to the website cindachima.com to read the first chapter online. It is a fantastic book. I picked it up not thinking much about it this summer and read for hours until I was done.

I liked the Warrior Heir because of the unique quality in the writing. I thought the story was easy to follow and very original. I’ve read both the Warrior Heir and the Wizard Heir but have yet to read the Dragon Heir. I’m sure it’s just as good as the first two though.

The Dragon Heir is the best book, but I guess she's thinking bout writing a sequel. Plus she has a new book "The Demon King" coming out this October

Cinda Williams Chima is a great author, I agree that she was very original and you could easily understand what was happening. I still haven't read the third book, but I'm planning on starting it soon.
