Which Deathly Hallows scene will be the best movie scene?

I think the final dueling scenes will be the best. Especially Molly taking on Bellatrix.

I hope they don't personally as they could use the film to have a funeral or some rolling down scenes after Voldemort's death that weren't in the book and would finish it off rather nicely with a few flashes of the future Epilogue perhaps but not let it dominate the previous scenes.

Alfonso Cuaron. What he did in Children Of Men would be so perfect for Deathly Hallows. Especially the battle at Hogwarts with walls being blown up, people hurt and dying, it should feel real and intense like the Children Of Men war scenes. And we know how well Cuaron directed PoA. You may whine and moan about details being left out but it's still the best movie, it's the most beautiful-looking, has the best music, exactly the right tone, the performances were the most natural instead of what they're doing now trying to force a performance out of the actors, particularly the trio.

As with all the movies, cramming in every scene and all the details isn't what it's about, it's about capturing the feeling of the book, taking select moments and bringing them to life in a satisfying way (e.g. in PoA, the Lupin Patronus lesson was such an amazing scene, one of the best so far in the movies, and yet it's different to the book details).

If I was going to cut anything big it would be the Ministry infiltration, getting the locket from Umbridge. Cut all that (I'm sure they won't want to put up the Ministry atrium set again), have Kreacher hiding the locket at Grimmauld Place, quickly flashback to the cave as Kreacher tells the tale, show Regulus meeting his rather sticky end(!)

I would say harry and Ginny's kiss would have been good but its not gonna translate well to the movie, so the best scene is going to be the epic hogwarts battle.

i think that the best scenes in the movie will of course be the final battle at hogwarts. especially emma and ruperts kiss (which ill be completely depressed watching bc i want him so bad) and the humor in it. but i think the best action will be the 7 potters chapter. and im really intersted to see how they are gona show george's ear being blown off. will they show a hole in the side of his head ahha? 'ear 'ear!

If they include Fleur and Bill, the wedding scene will probably be very nice.
And Snapes memories of Lily will be good also. (:

7 potters will be a fun scene to watch, but i think the best will be one of those last chapters from battle of hogwarts onward. any of those at the end have a good shot at being great scenes.

the one im most looking foreward to is the battle of hogwarts, which im not sure if i should look foreward to because it might or might not be done properly.

I think the Potter-Voldemort confrontation where Harry calls him Riddle and completely blows his mind (:P) would be the best scene if directed correctly. I have doubts about Radcliffe's ability to portray a completely calm and emotionless Harry though.

If the final duel between Voldemort and Harry is portrayed well, i think that would be the best scene, or maybe the whole Kings Cross scene. It all depends on the performances of the actors, because even if it seems really cool now, it might not on screen.

The scene where Harry walks to his death is going to be the best and most heart wrenching scene in the whole movie.

As for Director I think M. Night Shyamalan would do this movie great!!!! I know alot may disagree..but I think he would get the mood right...

They had better make an epic-length movie and do it justice. I wouldn't complain even if it was made into a two-part movie with interlude.

As for the "best" scene... it's a hard call.

The essential scenes, IMHO are:

1. The Seven Potters (skip the Tonks') - 10 mins
2. Harry's Birthday and Dumbledore's Will (skip Scrimgeour and the wedding, the DE can attack during the birthday) - 10 mins
3. Grimmauld Place (must include Kreacher's tale) - 15 mins
4. Taking the locket from Umbridge (they don't have to go into the Ministry: just make Umbridge apparate in, stun, take locket, then get found by Yaxley who chase them via apparition) - 5 mins
5. Ron does a runner - 5 mins
6. Graveyard and Bathilda/Nagini - 15 mins
7. Ron reappears, saves Harry, destroys Horcrux - 15 mins
8. Lovegood, they get caught and sent to Malfoy's - 15 mins
9. Torture and Dobby's rescue - 10 mins
10. Questioning of Griphook and Ollivander - 15 mins
11. Gringotts - 15 mins
12. Aberforth - 5 mins
13. Battle of Hogwarts and Diadem - 15 mins
14. Snape/Nagini - 5 mins
15. Snape's tale (abridged, like the movie version of Snape's Worst Memory) - 5 mins
16. Resurrection Stone and Forbidden Forest - 10 mins
17. Bella vs Molly and the Final Duel - 10 mins
18. Epilogue - 5 mins

Total: 185 mins

I completely agree with you. Neville is going to be so cool in this movie. We already saw him rebelling at the OoTP movie. When Neville stands up to Voldemort and when he kills Nagini I'm going to be one of the many that will be applauding and cheering at the theater.

I'm nervous about how they're going to handle the final confrontation between Voldermort and Harry. We all know how movies like to spice up fights, and I'm afraid they might have a big epic battle between Voldermort and Harry before Harry kills him, and that wouldn't really fit.

The best scene for me will be Harry walking through the forbidden forest with his loved ones to his death. "Will it hurt?" Better bring plenty of tissues.

Well they need to have a big duel really, they should've done for at least more than 2 pages; doing it the way it was done exactly in the book would hardly be good movie material either.
