There are a lot of bodies in the final battle, but there doesn't need to be a lot of blood. Snape is the only one who will die bloody.

How is it a bloodbath? I've never really understood the view that this film could possibly merit an R. First off, the MPAA is way more lenient on violent content than sexual content, but my main reason is that, while we have Hermione's hands stained with blood at one point, and George does lose an ear in a memorably bloody way, the majority of the violence is by way of the killing curse - which does not leave a mark. In other words, no blood! There's this great out inherent in the material; the filmmakers do not have to pull any punches because the AK leaves no blood, and is therefore not gruesomely violent content. As for Nagini emerging from the corpse of Bathilda Bagshot or Nagini killing Snape (wow, she gets around), there''s no way those sequences will be all that explicit.

I agree. They do not need to be explicit. I am not even sure if they will show the snake come out of Bathilda. In that one shot Nagini is just sitting in that child's room when she attacks Harry. They may just have the snake lay in wait for Harry.

Also Snape's death doesn't need to be any bloodier then the sectumsempra scene in my opinion. It is more about him dying and the look at me line then about how much blood there is. All that matters is that there is blood.

Maybe. I will be very disappointed if that's the case, though, because while that does not need to so explicit, it's such a morbid and chilling idea.

Indeed. It's also the manner of his death, and how ruthlessly he's dispatched by Voldemort, and ultimately for nothing, that makes it wrenching.

And the memories oozing out of his wounds and what-not. We can't forget that.

That's true, but you don't really need to have too much blood for Dobby, i understand how he died, but pg-13 movies do stabbing a lot with no blood.

Hermione putting up the protections after ron got splinched can pass becuase it wasn't inflicted by a bad guy.

Worm tail might be pretty freaky though.

I think Snape's oozing the memories can be done in a different way, maybe just have be a sort of fog like substance coming out of his mouth.

I wonder how much we'll see of Hermione's torture.

I hope they make it gruesome and make us ache for her. However, if the display the Cruciatus Curse as they have in the past, the victim will mostly appear to be seizing and writhing in pain. But we'll see how Emma can take that to the next level from Dan's performance.

And the torture sessions at Hogwarts. We know Matt Lewis said he appears pretty gashed/beat up, so they seem to be showing those.

Oh, Hermione's torture would be SO much worse, SO much more horrible and visceral, if we see none of it, if it's completely reliant on Emma's screams of pain and Rupert's screams of desperation.

Well, torture is Bella's specialty. And I don't think we'll just be seeing the effects of the Cruciatus Curse. I imagine we'll see HBC getting up close and personal with Emma throughout the scene. That KNIFE.

I won't be surprised if the scene where she's threatening her with the knife isn't much different then the Joker and Rachel in TDK.

I hope I'm wrong though. It should be a few more levels up from that...

Speaking of my favorite Charecter someone mentioned in the description of the Comic Con footage shown said bella had a whip and she takes someone down with it. Any ideas where this scene would take place. And i have to say im a bit upset. Are they trying to make her indiana jones now? why isnt she using her wand?

Same reason she used a knife in the book. She's a sadist. She loves causing pain, and a whip helps her do that.

She's not turning into Indiana Jones, but perhaps she's turning into Catwoman.

Re: The Deathly Hallows Movie(s) v7.

Various HP fansites are posting news on this interview with Dan Radcliffe on both parts of DH.

http://www.empireonline.com/news/feed.asp?NID=28680

on Part 1:
Quote:
"The first one is a weird road movie kind of thing," he said. "Compared to the second part it's slower paced, but that's only relative. It's more of an exploration of the relationship between the characters. You see those friendships tested for the first time."
and Part 2:
Quote:
"The second one is this non-stop rollercoaster of battles and heists. It starts off as this heist movie and turns into this all-out war."
The fansites seem to be thinking part 2 opens with the Gringotts heist, but I think they may be taking it out of context, the way I take it when Dan's says "It starts off as this heist movie" he taking about the first 30-45 minutes, not just the first scene. I think the Gringotts scene will be place similarly to where the 7 Potters scene will be in part 1

Right. It should be incredibly emotional and hard to watch. We shall have to see.

I remember I read an interview with Tom Felton (month ago)...and he said that he was there where Emma Watson (Hermione) is being tortured and said that it was tough (can't remember the exact word)....
The point is we'll get to see a good torture scene....

Hogwarts radio jus released thieir podcast on the split. If anyones interested in listening here's the link.

I started listening to that, but they began to moan about Hedwig not dying. I guess they didn't see the legit script leak which says she took an Avada Kedavra for Harry.

Trust MuggleNet to post that ''WB says Hedwig won't die" and turn speculation into fact, making the most of the fandom angry. They really screwed up on reporting that.
