Re: Your current read v6

I'm reading Insomnia by Stephen King, The Last Continent by Terry Pratchett, and a Norwegian fantasy book (I feel it is important to support those, we're not exactly the kings of the fantasy genre here) called Slaget på Vigrid by Kristine Tofte. The latter is my current priority because it is a library book, and I don't read as fast as I used to.

I'm reading The City and the Pillar by Gore Vidal. So far so good.

Just started The Fallen by Thomas Sniegoski. Not the best of literary works, but it's entertaining me so far.

The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt it's a book club read, wouldn't normally choose it otherwise.

The Summer Tree, first of The Fionavar Tapestry by Guy Gavriel Kay. I'm enjoying it immensely so far.

I am in the middle of reading Divergent, by Veronica Roth. Quite entertaining so far; written in a similar style as The Hunger Games.

Re: Your current read v6

I'm continuing my reread of The Great Hunt by Robert Jordan, which I started reading while keeping my grandmother company at the hospital. I stopped reading after she died a few days later (I didn't read at all for several months, actually), but I finally found the strength to pick it up again this Christmas, over a year later. It so wonderful to see all my friends from that universe again!

But occasionally I need some lighter reading, so I've been reading Discworld books by Terry Pratchett as well. I just finished Snuff the other day, and now I am out of unread Discworld books! Well, there are still a few I haven't read yet (not many, less than 10, probably about 5, it's hard to remember!), but I don't own them and the library only has them in Norwegian. Not sure what I'm going to do for light reading now, perhaps Unnatural Creatures, which is a collection of shorter stories by various authors put together by Neil Gaiman.

Turns out I chose The Alloy of Law by Brandon Sanderson instead, because it's been sitting on my shelf, like, forever like. (Err... exactly as long as Unnatural Creatures has, actually. They were bought at the same time. ) And now I've finished it and I really, really don't feel like leaving the Mistborn universe, so I thought I'd reread the trilogy again. Problem: what is my light read now? The Great Hunt or Mistborn: The Final Empire? I have no idea. But I love both, so it's all good.

Also reading Under The Dome - Stephen King

Hope to get it finished before the mini-series starts up again this summer - I still have last season's episodes to watch.

The Passage by Justin Cronin. It's difficult to put down.

The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton.

It's been brilliant so far!

Just finished True History of the Kelly Gang by Peter Carey. I enjoyed it (although not as much as some of Carey's other books, e.g. Oscar and Lucinda) and it's made me want to find out more about the Kelly gang/Australian history generally.
