I liked the ending to Wanted though.
Nope she decided at the end of last year (I think) that she was going to write 4 more. Twisted is the 9th book. I've read it and it is a continuation of Wanted.
I'm not crazy about it; I also liked how Wanted ended, and the events in Twisted are pretty crazy. But I am happy for more books. I heard that Ezra is going to be back in the 10th book too. Drama!!

Ezra is a good enough reason to contine reading them. However, how did Wanted end?
Spoiler: show
The real Allison came back right or was it the evil twin??
I can't recall.

Re: Pretty Little Liars (The Books)

Well, I can understand why she'd want to continue if she felt she had more ideas. I can't fault her for that. I'll definitely have to check out Twisted.

And, yes, Ezra is coming back for book ten. I read that on Wikipedia. Definitely going to be some drama there.

Wanted ended with:

Spoiler: show
Alison coming back. Courtney was the twin, and Alison killed her because she hated that Courtney wanted to steal her life. Then Alison tried to kill the girls because she was jealous of them or something. I'd have to reread Wanted to see.

I'm rereading the whole series now, but I may stop so I can read Twisted. I can't wait for Ruthless, too.

Re: Pretty Little Liars (The Books)

And there are two books to "Lying Games" so far. They're ok. I'm not as attached to the characters in this series like I was for "Pretty Little Liars". But it still has an interesting mystery that I would like to see how it plays out. The author uses a different type of literary style which is kind of cool. I don't want to elaborate though until more people speak up about having read the books.

Also, if we start discussing the Lying Games series should we open another thread, or change this thread to books by the author?

Re: Pretty Little Liars (The Books)

Maybe you could start a new thread. I haven't read The Lying Game yet, and I don't know if I will. What's the second book in that series called?

I won't start a new thread on it until I know people are taking interest though.

Here is the site on Amazon for the Lying Game series: Lying Game.

I liked it, my neice and I read them together.

Well, I've thought about it, but I'm not sure I like the whole idea about it involving twins again. I think it might be predictable.

EDIT:
I changed the title so we wouldn't need to create a whole new thread.

It's hard to explain. I felt the same way when my neice told me about the new series and I looked into it. It has a similar feel of PLL. But the mystery itself is different and she uses a different writing technique with the twins that is actually pretty cool.

Re: Sara Shepard Books

Well maybe I will look into it, after I finish Pretty Little Liars. I still can't believe I missed one.

The tv show (Lying Games) from what I can see is already taking liberties from the books. For example thus far the twins never meet in person. I don't want to say anymore and accidently spoil though.

Re: Sara Shepard Books

I might check out the show and see if I want to read the books. But I want to finish PLL first and then get into The Lying Game.

So, there's already a Lying Games tv show too? Hmm I'll have to read the books!

Re: Sara Shepard Books

Did anyone ever finish The Pretty Lilltle Liars series? I've recently found out there's like twelve books in the series, so I've decided to pick them up again.

Re: Sara Shepard Books

The second book in The Lying Game is called Never Have I Ever. I thought the first book was okay; I found Sutton's friends to be quite irritating though :/

I do really enjoy the Pretty Little Liars series though. Although I found Hanna to be a little annoying as the books went on, I have to applaud Sara Shepard on the twists and turns she writes. I honestly did not see that coming in Wanted. I haven't read Twisted or Ruthless yet.

Maybe I didn't warm to The Lying Game much was because I was reading it off the heels of PLL and expected too much.

Re: Sara Shepard Books

Yes, and I just read Stunning, which was also a good PLL book. I can't wait to see if she'll do more, and I'm sure she will because we don't know much about Aria's mystery that was hinted at in Twisted and Ruthless. Can't wait. And I definitely want to read The Lying Game eventually. I love the show, and I'm sure the books are good, too. Shepard is awesome at weaving a plot together.
