Yea Roseanne does that for me as well. Haven't watched it in awhile though... no tv stations show it via reruns, unless you account for cable...

Ah, "Scrubs" is one I neglected to mention earlier. As for "Roseanne", anything from the first...oh, six seasons, might put me in a better mood. Beyond that, not so much.

A few other shows I neglected to mention were House, MD. House's attitude always gets me :P

Funny episodes of the X-Files do too like Arcadia, Dreamland/II, Three of A Kind (I love 'drunken' Scully! Those parts always crack me up!)

Re: Shows That You Know Will Make You Feel Better

Definitely Buffy. Bones as well -- I love Angela's lines. When she describes a murderer gnawing on the victim's arm like a piece of "man-corn," I nearly died laughing.

Roseanne was always a good one as well. Everything Jackie said was always guaranteed to crack you up -- especially the episode when their father dies and Jackie has to tell their great aunt that he's gone, but the lady on the phone is partially deaf and can't hear. I don't even have to be watching it, I can just remember Jackie on the phone, sad and solemn at first, then louder, then louder, then shouting, and eventually saying, "He's fine. He sends his love" because the lady can't hear her and she doesn't want to scream, "Dad's dead" anymore.
I'm laughing right now just remembering it.

Same here with Buffy and Bones. Buffy made me laugh, up until the season where there was so much making out and stuff ... it was just OVERKILL . The X-Files had it right when it came down to it. Not too little and not too much -- just somewhere right in the middle . A nice middle ground . And it made it, so any kissing scenes/other romantic scenes were that much better and memorable (I'll never forget the kissing scenes from Existence and ESPECIALLY the one from The Truth (wow that kiss one HECK of a HOT kiss ...)). As for Bones, I like how the cast gets along in the show itself. It's nice to see.

I like to watch The West Wing, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Father Ted to cheer myself up. Just doing Father Dougal facial impressions will often cheer me up if work is stressing me out.

Definitely Friends. When I'm upset I can always turn to watching the episodes and find myself cracking up. I also enjoy watching Fresh Prince of Bel-Air occasionally.

Ah, The West Wing -- I loved that show . It never failed to not cheer me up. The many times that I laughed during that show... it was just a good, well written show .

Re: Shows That You Know Will Make You Feel Better

-Two and a Half Men...this show is actually really funny and great [use to think it was dumb..]
-Still Standing aw love this show...Bill is great so is the little girl..
-Reba...I may hate country music, but hey this show rocks Van is one of my favourite characters...
-CSI [sadly I can only watch this on Thursdays cause we do not have cable]
-House..I use to think this show was stupid, now I love it I've only seen like 4 episodes though...maybe 5...and was really sad last week when that stupid teen choice award show was on instead...
-Bones...great show...good humor always cheers me up!
-Scrubs of course, but I can't watch cause the channel doesn't come in..:'(
-That 70's Show sometimes, I've seen like all the episodes..
That is about it for me...
I'd add So You Think You Can Dance but they show is over for the season

Though it's not on anymore, I always watch the episodes of Whose Line is it Anyway that I've taped over the years. Those guys never fail to make me laugh. I also watch Law and Order, because I love to see the bad guys get shot down by Jack McCoy.

I loved that show ... I still catch it on YouTube every now and then... Too bad more of it isn't out on DVD yet, since it was such a good show. And I love Law and Order -- Lenny (Jerry Orbach) never failed to not make me laugh ... Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston) is cool too.

The American Idol auditions are always great for a laugh. Your spirits just get lifted by seeing (and hearing) some of the people that show up there.
