Re: QI - Any Fans?

QI has got to be one of the best shows ever- thank goodness it's back, with the normal episode on BBC1 on fridays, and a new idea- QIXL- the extended version, on saturdays on BBC2

Shame though- no Bill Bailey in this series. I think he was away on tour when they were filming this series

Re: QI - Any Fans?

I'm glad it's back, I love QI, I even watch the repeats on Dave, I probably learnt half the facts off by heart now! And Stephan Fry is made of awesome (made of awesome? I think I'm turning into the boyfriend!) I haven't seen any of the extended versions yet though, are they worth watching?

Re: QI - Any Fans?

They are worth watching if you don't mind the sense of deja vu you get because a lot of it is obviously repeated from the normal episode. It's an extra 15 minutes of Fry and Daviesness so it's got to be good

I'm gutted that I live in the middle of nowhere because I can't get Dave anymore

Re: QI - Any Fans?

Have you moved then? We used to get Dave at our house.

Umm I should say something about QI to keep this on topic...

I guess you could just watch the extended edition, then it would all be new. They did the same with Have I got News for You and I usually watched one or the other

Re: QI - Any Fans?

I was thinking that after I'd posted- but I'd most likely watch the two. I'm geeky like that. I think that it's worth it. Mainly because I watch it on the Friday with my mum and the saturday with my boyfriend.

Who is everyone's favourite guests? (Or Employee- Stephen Fry said he can't be doing with the word "guest")
Mine is Bill Bailey, followed by Sean Lock and Jo Brand. Oh- and Rich Hall!

(Yes- we're living with my mum now- we're setting up a B&B and shop)

I like Bill Bailey too. And Rich Hall, he just makes things up to try and get points

Re: QI - Any Fans?

I watch all the repeats of QI on Dave as well. It's on at 9pm on weeknights.

My favourite is Alan Davies really, (anyone seen Jonathan Creek?), and then Rich Hall. I think it's great when he gets 'upset' with Stephen Fry calling America a wastland, and says Birmingham is instead...

I also liked when he was talking about "Biscuits" in America, saying sometimes it was 3 meals a day, depending what trailerpark you were from

Re: QI - Any Fans?

I remember some Johnathon Creek episodes really vividly. The ones that scared me when I was younger.

Really that's not QI though....but don't think I have anything to say about that...

Re: QI - Any Fans?

Did anyone watch the one about France last night? There was some terrible broken French language being spoken.

Jo Brand could only remember 'Handkerchief'

Under De Gaulle it would have been cause for a war! If you enjoy the programme you might like their website QI.com

Re: QI - Any Fans?

where did my post go...I'm sure I clicked post but it did go a bit funny after I did.

Anyway I watched the episode a while ago. I liked the bit when they were talking about text speck, there's something especially funny about Stephan Fry saying OMG!

One of my friends can only say 'The crocodile is under the table' in French, I wonder if that or handkerchief is more useful

"We have invaded Britain, lol!"

That was great. Does anyone else think Phil Jupitus has lost weight?

Re: QI - Any Fans?

I've been watching alot of QI on youtube lately and it's hilarious.I like when Alan Davies pulled out an "Elephant in the room" stick from a previous series, and steven was dumbfounded as to why he even had it! That was hilarious. my favourite guests are Bill Bailey, David Mitchell, and anyone who is just always funny.

"Operation Speedy Resolution"

Re: QI - Any Fans?

I watched part of QI on youtube and I would love to see it. When is it on and what channel? I would watch Stephen Fry reading the parts list from the space shuttle.
