Re: Futurama!

Oh, aside from the episode I mentioned (sorry don't know the name), I would have to say that "Jurassic Bark" is a favorite, as well as the episode where Fry thought his brother stole his name and realized that it was his nephew.

Re: Futurama!

My favorite episode was the 1 where they were attactted by the brains and Fry ended up saving them because he was so stupid.

Re: Futurama!

It's not as good as Simpson's in it's prime but IT's way better than the simpson's they're making now (which is still better than most of the garbage on TV). Can't wait for the new ones. I still like Bender's lines best:
"That activates my hilarity unit"
"Remember your manners kids, forks go in the left pocket, spoons in the right"
"I'm so embarrased, I wish everybody else was dead"
"I'm just three skulls short of a Mousketeer reunion"
"What about that time I gave blood?" "Whose Blood?" "Some guy's (Shrugs)"
Very clever show.
I can't watch Jurassic Bark either. It's too depressing

Re: Futurama!

'Jurassic Bark' was completely heartbreaking. I can't watch it anymore either
I love all of the characters but Morbo has to be my absolute favourite:
"Stop it, stop it, it's fine, I will destroy you!"

Futurama has some of the funniest lines I've heard on television and some of the songs are incredibly catchy. All in all, a great show.

OMG thank you so much for that information! My brother loves Futurama (as do I), and I am in desperate need for a Christmas present for him. I bet he doesn't even know they're making those movies.
Now I just need to order it on the US Amazon and pray that the import tax won't be too high.
Thank you Thank you Thank you.

Re: Futurama!

Thanks Poofy . Without spoilers, let me know how it is - my $ situation means it'll be a bit before I can pick it up . But, I'm looking forward to more Futurama

Re: Futurama!

So what did everybody think of the 1st Futurama movie? I have to say I liked it more than the Simpsons movie, maybe because that one was so hyped that you expected something so much better than just a 4 episode long, regular Simpsons story. Bender's Big Score was nothing more than a blown up Futurama episode, but that's fine by me, as Futurama can't do nothing wrong for me, and I wasn't actually expecting MORE than just regular Futurama fun.
Well.. the ONLY thing that sort of almost really bothered me was the singing. Cuz they break into Musical song at least twice in the movie, and I HATE singing in movies, it's boring. Except when I know it's coming, and I need to pee, then it's good.
Oh, and also... not enough Zap Brannigan. But yeah, I'll buy the other movies too.

Re: Futurama!

I was wondering when Zapp was going to show up too. Definitely not enough of him.

I was a little disappointed with the movie. The whole story and the new villains felt to me a lot more like the comics than the previous episodes. I really liked the singing in the other episodes, but not so much in this movie. I liked the movie better the second time I watched it though Futurama still rocks.

I just finished the Simpsons game, and Bender and Zoidberg are in it! It's hilarious, Bart says "No one gets your jokes!" and other insults for why Futurama got knocked off the air.

One of my favorite episodes, which I actually saw for the first time this year, was the one where "Fry died", and Leela was hallucinating, thinking that he was still alive. He would only appear in her dreams, though, and at the end of the dream, Fry would always tell her to wake up. I found that episode so sweet! To be honest, any episode where Fry tries to impress Leela I really like.
Don't Worry, Bee Happy- when they all sing and then they all explode! Hehe, I love that one, and when she's dreaming and whenever she wakes up she sends poor Nibbler flying across the room!

I have seasons 1,2 and 4 on dvd- I can't find season 3 anywhere.
I like the one with the "what if" machine, the first one. Anthology of Interest. I tried watching the second one on Saturday, but I was only left with about three channels because the weather knocked out my freeview, and it's only just getting back properly now.

PS call me slow, but I've only just realised that Professor Frink is a forerunner to Professor Farnsworth...

Re: Futurama!

I liked the episode where Zoidbreg has to go home to mate , but it seemed too much like a rip off of the StarTrek Show about Spock needing to go back to Vulcan . But that said it still was very funny and had lots of great in gags .

Re: Futurama!

I can't wait for the new Futurama to come out. It left a real bitter taste when it was canned. It's one of the staples in my DVD diet at the moment. I flirted between favorite characters. Bender always stood out for obvious reasons, but I always thought Captain Zapp Brannigan's apperances were great.

Re: Futurama!

I can't wait to see more Futurama.

I once served a bloke in work, and he handed me his bank card, and I looked at it to check it was in date and the name on it was Philip J. Fry.

True story!

Out of curiosity, does anyone know when new episodes of Futurama are going to start up?

Re: Futurama!

Oh I love Futurama! It's one of those rare cartoons that actually make you feel emotion. Like Jurassic Bark or the luck of the fryish.

I also adore the Fry/Leela relationship. They have wonderful moments together ("You leave me breathless" - awww ).

And Zapp Brannigan is the funniest character ever.

Re: Futurama!

I haven't seen Futurama for ages! I can only remember random episodes, like when Bender finds his family and when Leila gets married. Zapp just makes me laugh out loud - he's so funny.

Re: Futurama!

My favorite episode of all time is "300 Big Boys" where everyone gets 300$ from a silk surplus. Fry drinks 100 cups of coffee. Fry is my favorite character. I have three of the 4 volumes DVD volumes.

You can get the third Volume at Walmart, thats where I got mine. Most walmarts have them. They are fairly cheap there too, $27 which isn't bad. I think that is the best volume! On there is "Future Stock", "Friendship to me means that for two dollars I beat you with a pool cue till you got detached retinas" and "Don't you worry about Planet Express, let me worry about blank." I love it. There's two things in life I know, Harry Potter and Futurama, the rest, who cares!
