I'm not just weird. Or odd. I'm crazy. Seriously. Completely insane. But I don't think that's bad... On the contrary, this is one of the qualities people love about me... In real life, of course... I agree that here we are all weirdos. And aren't enough just to make a town, but a city... But what a wonderful city it would be! Some people in real life are really boring... -.-'

BTW, I used to have a crush on Snape, but then I turned 14, and I was like, "what the?!". I then had a crush on Johnny Depp, but it was like, so unnoriginal! So now I have grown into having a crush on our dear Remus xD Poor him!

I think EVERYBODY likes Remus. Why, even I admire him.

... well, he's the kind of teacher I hope to be, anyway.

I didn't have a crush on any Harry Potter characters, but I've been really crazy about other ones... not Edward from Twilight, though. Or Jacob. My friend is in love with Edward and my BFF is OBSESSED with Jacob. Yuck...

edit: Okay, I admit I have a crush on Snape. Well, mostly I'm just really obsessed with him. Close enough.

I agree. I'm quite in love with Jacob Black and as long as you know he's not real and understand that you're in love with the idea of him not the actual character who doesn't exist then it's perfectly fine. It makes reading a little more interesting

It's not weird unless it's Edward.

For the most part I think it shows testament to the writing itself. The character is written so well that they seem real.

I think like Leah said, it shows that a character has been written well enough for you to become attatched.

It's when you think that they are real is when you have problems..

OK, it's absolutely strange to have a crush on another series character. Like Edward. When you like Edward or Jacob, you need to see a doctor immediately. And when you like a Harry Potter character (like Ron) it's ok because they're awesome.

Re: Is it weird to have a crush on a fictional character?

I don't think I've ever had a crush on a fictional character. I get a bit...obsessive...but I'm not in love with them. I just think they're awesome (ex: Mr. Darcy, Remus Lupin, Fred Weasley, Sherlock Holmes, etc.). But I don't think that it's weird, as long as you know that they're not real. To me, it seems pretty much like having a celebrity crush. I'm just as likely to have Remus Lupin as a boyfriend as I am to having Ewan McGregor as one.

I don't think it's weird to have a crush on a fictional character. I've had LOTS of crazy crushes in my life and lots of them have been from books. Just from HP, I find I'm totally in love with Lucius and Snape.

As long as it's not Edward/Jacob, I'm fine with it.

Re: Is it weird to have a crush on a fictional character?

No points for guessing... it is Sirius for me...Mr Darcy is in that list too... But Sirius Black is the only fictional guy to have ever made me cry... 13 and in love with a fictional character... those were the days...lol. I really am glad Twilight was not there when I was 13 cause that would suck for me to have had a teenage crush on Edward. Would never have forgiven myself :P I like my guys to actually be fun
