Your Top Ten Guilty Pleasure Songs
What songs are you ashamed of loving because you know that a friend or family member would make fun of you endlessly?
![]() Here are my top ten, in no particularly order: 1. Womanizer-Britney Spears. I dance like a fool whenever this comes on my shuffle playlist on my iPod. I could listen to it 20 times in a row. 2. Lovefool-The Cardigans. I think this is a great song, but whenever I play it in the car when I'm driving somewhere with my mom, she always makes fun of it. 3. (They Long to Be) Close-The Carpenters. I will admit, it is a silly song, but I think it's lovely. 4. Can't Get You Out of My Head-Kylie Minogue. I like to think that everyone in the world loves this song, but they're just too chicken to admit it ![]() 5. Bulletproof-La Roux. I know, this song was pretty popular a few months ago, so I shouldn't be embarrassed. However, most people think of me as only listening to classical and classic rock type music, so they're kind of shocked to learn that I would like this song. 6. Hung Up-Madonna. Do you see the trend? I guess I'm really ashamed of my secret love for catchy pop songs! I luuurrve this song. I think I've listened to it every day for the past six months. 7. I'm a Broken Heart-the bird and the bee. This is just an unbelievably sappy break-up song. But I sure do like it. 8. Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)-My Chemical Romance. I just am not a MCR fan, and I never have been. I think they're annoying. But there's just something about this song that makes me listen to it over and over again. 9. The Sound of Silence-Simon and Garfunkel. I get a lot of flack for this one from my friends ![]() 10. Rocky Raccoon-The Beatles. This is actually one of my favorite songs off the White Album, but you really don't hear about it much. My brother and I both love this song, and we can't understand why our friends don't think too highly of it. I think it's quite catchy; it's always stuck in my head. |

Re: Your Top Ten Guilty Pleasure Songs
I dont know if i would have ten, but there is a particularly embarrassing playlist on my ipod, entirely of wizard rock. As my friends are not potter fans, they thought i was a bit weird when they found that.

Re: Your Top Ten Guilty Pleasure Songs
1. A lot of Britney Spears songs. Thing is, I usually love making fun of her nasally voice and I also don't like the fact she doesn't write her own songs most of the time. But darn, she has some REALLY catchy songs. Especially Lonely, Let me Be and Hit me Baby One More Time.
2. More - Selena Gomez and the Scene. Don't get me wrong, I like Selena as an actress, I just don't think she has much talent musically, imo. I also love Falling Down. 3. Take it Off - Kesha. I really don't like her (I used to. Until I heard her live) and her lyrics make me cringe, but I can't help dancing around whenever I hear this. It has a GREAT rythm. 4. What a Wonderful World: I LOVE LOUIS ARMSTRONG. Actually, I love jazz in general, and my friends think it's rather odd. People say I was born with an old soul ![]() 5. Moaning Myrtles songs. Yup. Wizard rock. Speaks for itself. 6. Elephant elephant - Evelyn Evelyn. Look it up on youtube and you'll find out why. 7. Sandy Fishnets - Evelyn Evelyn. Ditto. 8. Any Jason Webley song. It's a very odd kind of music, kind of gypsy piratey like. It's hard to describe. Still, he's an AMAZING songwriter, so I shouldn't be ashamed. 9. Sylvia's Mother - Dr Cook. Most depressive country song ever, but I LOVE it. 10. "He tought me to yodel". Yodelling. I love it as much as I love making fun of it. It's my guiltiest pleasure. Sounds of Silence is NOT a guilty pleasure! It's an AMAZING song! :P

Re: Your Top Ten Guilty Pleasure Songs
Being Latin, I think that my guilty pleasure is listening to non-Latin music. MCR, Adele, James Blunt, Lady Gaga (though she's famous everywhere, so she really doesn't count). And HP Soundtracks.
I think the thing they find weirdest is that I don't like regueaton at all, and that, for a Latin, is quite bizarre, I suppose.

Re: Your Top Ten Guilty Pleasure Songs
I've been listening to this nonstop for the past few weeks! It's just so quintessentially 80s. |

Re: Your Top Ten Guilty Pleasure Songs
Yes indeed! I could have filled my list with 80s pop music, but thought I'd try to vary it a little bit!

Re: Your Top Ten Guilty Pleasure Songs
Almost anything by Britney Spears. Her range is like 3 notes, but her songs usually have a great beat and are good for dancing to. Especially Me Against the Music, Toxic, Gimme More, and Womanizer.
I have a CD of acapella versions of a bunch of older songs which I LOVE. Some songs: (I Just) Died in Your Arms, Good Night Sweetheart, I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles), and I Can See Clearly Now (major LOVE!). Most people hate on me, but I can't get enough!
