Men In Black 3

Saw a trailer for this at the movies. Josh Brolin plays a young Agent K -- from what I could tell from the very short scene, he's going to be good. Of course Will & Tommy Lee also star.

People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff...

....I miss David Tennant....

Re: Men In Black 3 (May 2012)

There were two moments in the teaser that made me laugh: J saying, "He smiles like this," and then scowling, to describe K, and the final shot, revealing Josh Brolin as the young K. That's great casting. I don't have particularly high hopes for the movie, but I sincerely want to love it. I love the first, I love Barry Sonnenfeld's first few movies (The Addams Family, Addams Family Values, Get Shorty, Men in Black), and Will Smith is, needless to say, always likable. Fingers crossed.

ETA: I see a full trailer is out. I have to go watch that.

ETA: I since have, and it looks okay. Not great, but promising enough.

I love the Men In Black series so I'm happy to see them coming out with a new one. The trailers have been good but not amazing. Hopefully the movie is great and I agree that Josh Brolin seems to have done a great job of being Tommy Lee.

I saw this one this weekend. I thought they did a great job with it. It definitely helps you understand somethings, especially about Agent K. For those that haven't seen it, I will warn you that there is kind of a tear-jerker part in it. I would totally go see it again!

I saw this today, and found it a very enjoyable film. James Brolin is spot on as the young Agent K, and Will Smith & Tommy Lee Jones were solid as always. I'd see it again, and will buy it when it comes out.

Happy to see people saying they enjoyed this film. Sometimes that 3rd one can lose some serious quality. I was going to see it, anyway, but now I'm really looking forward to it.

Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 68% Fresh and 75% of the audience likes it. Good enough for me, definitely going to check it out.

Re: Men In Black 3

I thoroughly enjoyed MIB3. Josh Brolin is excellent as a young K, the MIB headquarters (60s style) is ace.

I like that there were less random aliens all over the place - the FX are good, but they support the story, it's not a case of saying "LOOK AT THIS, LOOK WHAT WE CAN DO!!111ONE" like in MIB2.

It was much more in keeping with the spirit of the original MIB, it had humour, action and above all - it had a heart. I give it a solid 8/10.
