I guess this answers your question from the last thread, Master?

Oh, and JAI, about the Voldemort thing...I think that might actually be a good idea to make people think it's Voldemort...keeps 'em guessing...now the non-book people will have the same fun we had with the book

Re: The All Inclusive HBP Thread v10 - Now with Trailer Polls!

Decent trailer, not really very interesting, but at least it was something. Nice opening shots, and the general camera work and lighting is much better, but I think the young actor who plays Riddle is poor, very poor delivery, though he had a creepy face when he first appears. I like the design of the memory vials and the Orphanage, and I liked the shot of DD putting on the ring. The part with DD in the flames was far too LOTR-ish for my tastes, though. Dumbledore seemed to be really high up as well, on top of some kind of crystal formation. Have they made the island a lot bigger?

Okay, because I am allowed at least one squee, here it is... OMGZ! AHHHHHHHHHH!

I loved the concept. I LOVE that we're not basing this movie around fluff. We're basing it around the big stuff! The Voldy stuff! The going into the past and trying to learn about him stuff! Based on this, people might think Voldy is the half blood Prince, but that's better, because it surprises us more to find that it's actually Snape.

OMGZ. People are gonna be so shocked with the secrets.

I loved that. It was... amazing. I loved the last lines. Wow. Yates stepped up his game.

I've had a bad feeling about this movie for awhile but this trailer re-affirmed my hopes. No red flags so far canon-wise...I like the casting on Tom even though it's a little different than the book describes.

Well I like it, but I couldn't hear so it wasn't as good for me!

Still I don't remember the part about the ring but I'm gonna rewatch it so that I can see that part.

One thing I must say, I wish they would have put in some of DD's arm!

Oh, you people know they are keeping Snape in the dark for this movie.

What a shocker his role is going to be...

I felt the same as you, Yoshi about Riddle the first time but after watching it three times, he's grown on me. I think we were expecting too much. The character still only is 11 years old...

I am too busy hyperventilating, but I will stop just so that I won't have any typos. That was amazing! I can't believe that it took this long for something so great as that to get here, but it was defenitly worth the wait. Way to go WB! You finally did something right!

Re: The All Inclusive HBP Thread v10 - Now with Trailer Polls!

Wow, that was quick.

To continue . . .

I saw the ring - that was cool.

It was Ron on the ground, probably after being poisoned in Slughorn's office.

They showed the attack at the Burrow (so it is true).

I liked young Tom and thought he did fine. He had that evil look and his eyes lit up when DD set the wardrobe in fire.

I know we didn't see much else, but this is technically the TEASER trailer (well the real one anyway).

Besides, aren't you glad it wasn't all "sex, drugs and rock and roll"! Weren't some of you worried it would be too FUNNY and not serious enough!

Gee whiz!

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! I usually don't like the teasers for the HP movies, but this one is good! (I usually only like their theatrical trailers, especially the OotP one. )

Quick question, though. There was a scene when we saw someone running through fields. Does anyone know who that is?

I disagree about Snape...it will be shocking to the "non book readers" when he's revealed to be a "villain", but so far I think Snape has been written much kinder than in the books.

Re: The All Inclusive HBP Thread v10 - Now with Trailer Polls!

Absolutely LOVED IT!!!

My favorite bit was Ginny getting attacked. I was hoping we'd see Ginny in the trailer! Fantastic!

You do notice that the majority of the trailer is about the Tom Riddle memory, right? It had one part all the way through. This is just going to be one of many trailers, I can already see that.

Absolutely loved what we got though. The visuals and everything is FANTASTIC!

And that is all with only ONE VIEW!

*watches it again*

Oh, almost forgot... SQUEEE!

That's the new Burrow attack scene they put in - DEs come and attack the Burrow during Christmas. Many thought it was fake when it was leaked a few months back, but I guess it's real.

I was thinking the same thing - the next one could be about Harry falling for Ginny and the other about Ron and Hermioine and then one about Draco and Snape.

That would be cool.

Personally, I loved Hero. God, the look he kept in his eyes... I mean, that spoke far more than his voice ever could. And he had this subtle quiet about him. For an eleven year old kid, he was pretty amazing.

Well, I liked his face when he appears, and how he looks at the wardrobe burning. Besides those parts, there was just nothing there besides a blank face and blank line readings. Maybe they'll use some different takes in the real movie. Perhaps they should have gone for a decent actor ahead of someone related to Ralph Fiennes.

Re: The All Inclusive HBP Thread v10 - Now with Trailer Polls!

I've realised the Gaunt scene is cut! There is NO hope

Because at the same time DD explains the memories, he shows him the 'most important'. If the Gaunt scene is cut, the first scene would be the orphanage.

SQUEE! I love it! The Tom scenes are going to be great!

But I still wish there was something about Snape.
