The Safehold Series

My son is enthusing about the Safehold Series by David Weber, and the first novel - Off Armageddon Reef.

Has anyone read it - is it any good?

Re: The Safehold Series

I read it when it first came out. Excellent novel.

Cowl: "Insolent child! I will rip your mind asunder!"
Harry Dresden: "Bring it, Darth Bathrobe!"

"No dictator... No invader... Can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the Universe, than the need for freedom. Against that power, governments, and tyrants, and armies cannot stand. Though it take a Thousand Years. We. Will. Be. Free." -- Citizen G'Kar, Babylon 5
