Re: ABC Family's Versions of the HP movies

Just picked that up an hour ago. Four days Friday-Monday 7 films (no OOTP). Probably going to HBO soon is my guess. I'll wait for your fancy/smancy sched that you do so well, Brattyc.

I was going to get it done yesterday but couldn't get Mugglenet, I don't know if anyone else had that problem too or not. I'll do it tonight after work

Did you see that the regular ABC network will be showing COS on the 29th? Very curious...

Now that you mention it, yes I did see Chamber on Sunday but thought it an error at the time and was too excited about the marathon to give it a second thought. I use a character string of "Harry Potter" in my FIOS search and it returns all 8 movies even pay per views all the time 24/7/365 because you can always pay again if you want. They used to support filtering that out, but that feature was lost with one of those "software upgrades". Didn't try Mugglenet.

Re: ABC Family's Versions of the HP movies

Okay everyone, time to take care of all those Potter cravings

Tuesday May 24th
DH1 ~ 6:30 pm 10:00 pm

Wednesday May 25th
DH1 ~ 1:30 pm 5:00 pm

Memorial Day Weekend Marathon
Friday May 27th
SS ~ 2:45 pm 6:30 pm
COS ~ 6:30 pm 11:00 pm

Saturday May 28th
SS ~ 7:00 am 10:45 am
COS ~ 10:45 am 3:15 pm
POA ~ 3:15 pm 6:30 pm
GOF ~ 6:30 pm 10:15 pm
HBP ~ 10:15 2:00 am

Sunday May 29th
POA ~ 7:00 am 10:00 am
GOF ~ 10:00 am 1:30 pm
HBP ~ 1:30 pm 5:00 pm
DH1 ~ 5:00 pm 8:45 pm

There is no OotP this time around, hopefully it won't stay gone long. It's like one of the family is missing when they leave one out.

On Sunday May 29th , the regular ABC channel will be showing COS from 8:00 pm 11:00 pm. I don't think they show the extended version when it's shown on the regular channel

All right there Brattyc, great job again. Just got done watching HBP for the bazillionth time and here comes all this stuff. An embarrassment of riches to be feasted on. You are right about COS on ABC being short (unwatchable) version.

I guess we've just got spoiled by the extended versions. Maybe someday they'll edit back in the rest of the stuff that was deleted...I'd like to see the scene where Petunia admits she knows about the Dementors (the picture of Dudders throwing up in a vase has been around for a while) and the scene where they take on the brains in OotP. Matthew Lewis said he was disappointed that scene didn't make it even though it was filmed.

Just checked Zap2it...looks like Tuesdays don't belong to Harry after the marathon. But I bet it won't be long til he's back

Re: ABC Family's Versions of the HP movies

OOTP goes to HBO in July, starting on the 15th, which explains it's absence from the last marathon.

I wonder how long they'll hold it captive

In the past (1-4) it's been about a year, maybe a month or 2 more before it returns.

Here's some good news: Harry Potter Birthday Weekend in July on Freeform 3 days 7 films July 29-31. Link removed as it has changed. - TE

She gets them early, but some times she leaves off the Monday reruns. Have to wait for Zap2It to catch up to tell.

Free Preview for: Cinemax, HBO With OOTP moving to HBO on July 15th, this comes with perfect timing. Cable systems are often added over time so it pays to check periodically as the date draws near. First showing 7:35 pm EDT. http://www.hbo.com/schedule?date=2016-07-15

Re: ABC Family's Versions of the HP movies

As expected, Monday has 2cd showings of DH1 & 2 from 1:30pm-8pm, making it a 4 day marathon. Sched is nearly identical to the last one over Memorial Day weekend.

Re: ABC Family's Versions of the HP movies

Labor Day Marathon coming! Friday-Monday September 2-5. Schedule much like the last 2 marathons, 4 days, 7 films, no OOTP(still on HBO). There's other news as well. NBC has bought the TV rights to the movies so beginning in 2018 no more Potter on Freeform. Re: ABC Family's Versions of the HP movies

Thanks for the heads up, I'll get the new (guess old-lol) schedule ready. I wonder if NBC will be showing the extended versions or if we'll only get the original ones. I have the extended ones recorded on DVD but maybe I better check on them in case they need redone. At least we have 2 years of HP weekends to look forward to. With three channels having the chance to show them (NBC, USA and Syfy) maybe we'll see Harry showing up more often

Re: ABC Family's Versions of the HP movies

Yeah, it's not necessarily bad news. Maybe Freeform crams in more marathons before the clock runs out, too.

More good news: HBP the weekend before the marathon, Sunday 8/28 @ 8:15pm and Monday 8/29 @ 4:30pm. "Have you been whispering to yourself Draco?"
