Re: The Simpsons

I don't remember that episode at all.

I saw the "Who Shot Mr. Burns? part 1" episode yesterday as well as "Two Dozen and One Greyhounds." Those eps were so cool and very funny. I loved Burns's song "See My Vest."

Re: The Simpsons

What episode?

Awesome, I loved the whole "Who Shot Mr. Burns?" thing. Priceless. I also remember that second episode too .

On a side note, just watched a newer episode (the one about Asperger's syndrome) of SP yesterday and it was ok. But I didn't laugh a whole lot during it. One of the few times I did was at a scene where one of the characters was watching tv and it showed a show that was formed by Fox, CBS and Fx. Got the joke there about the monopoly on the networks.

Re: The Simpsons

Ah, I see. I'm going to catch the new SP tonight, but that's another topic.

Just saw the Simpsons ep "My Sister, My Sitter." I really liked this ep too and how Bart really antagonizes Lisa.

That episode's always really gotten on my nerves; Bart's just SO viscerally irritating in that one.

Yep. Speaking of which, I don't think that there's a SP thread on here... I could be wrong on that though...

I don't remember that one. What season is it from?

8 - not one of the best episodes, but one of the best seasons, of TV, ever.

Thanks IenjoyAcidPops . I'll have to go and find that season and watch it again sometime.

Re: The Simpsons

Actually, there is an SP thread here, but it hasn't been added on in a long time. I guess others aren't watching it anymore.

I see. Guess one of us should bump it up then... so we don't keep talking about it on The Simpsons thread .

I didn't get a chance to catch it . Darn it. I was watching something else and forgot it was on.

You should- season 8 is the best imo- El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Jomer, Homer's Phobia, Lisa's Date with Density, Hurricane Neddy...and the rest...
I was never that keen on the Simpsons Spinoff Showcase, but it's bearable, and it's only a minor blip on the season 8 monitor I think

Re: The Simpsons

I love the simpsons!!! The new episodes are ok, but the older ones are hilarious! Honestly, that show has some of the best quotes in tv history. Favourite character: Ralph! He is so underrated And Homer, of course

I can't remember what episode this is from, but it's BRILLIANT:

Homer: Old people don’t need companionship. They need to be isolated and studied so it can be determined what nutrients they have that might be extracted for our personal use.

EDIT: Just looking through some Simpsons quotes...just in case you want a good laugh: http://blogzarro.com/2007/07/100-gre...mpsons-quotes/

I tried recently... found some of it at my local library. But unfortunately they were in horrible shape . So now onto looking for it at my local video store. Hopefully they'll have it there for rent.

Re: The Simpsons

I've recently been watching Season 17- it's got some fairly decent episodes. I liked The Italian Bob (which I first watched in a pub during my student years)

As an aside, my boyfriend bought me a book for Christmas...Simpsons World- the Ultimate Episode guide

It weighs a tonne! (well, eight and a half pounds...)

Quote:
Look what you get in this cromulent compendium!

Comprehensive episode synopses for 20 seasons of Simpsons, including 128 new gut-busting episodes never before covered! Stuff you may have missed! More screen shots than ever before! Over four hundred character profiles! Every chalkboard phrase Bart has ever written! Nifty new art throughout! Quotes and quips from all your favorite characters! Two or more jam-packed pages devoted to every episode!
As well as:

Every couch gag
A complete filmography of "Itchy & Scratchy"
Every "D'oh" or "Mmm..." Homer has ever uttered
Every song ever sung by the citizens of Springfield
Every marquee message from the First Church of Springfield
A tribute to star of stage, screen, infomercials, and filmstrips, Troy McClure
The largest collection of Krusty the Clown merchandise outside of Bart's bedroom
A complete list of celebrity guest stars
And much, much more...

Packaged in the ultimate wraparound slipcase and weighing in at a hefty 8.8 pounds, Simpsons World The Ultimate Episode Guide (Seasons 1-20) is meant for reading, not throwing!
I've never had any of the previous episode guides, so this is kinda cool

Re: The Simpsons

That's one awesome Christmas gift!

Anyone going to be watching the 500th episode of the Simpsons tonight? I just read about it today and it seems like it might be an ok episode.

I'm unlikely to get it for ages- in the UK and no Sky, so I can see me waiting a looooooooooong time for it

Re: The Simpsons

I didn't watch it due to The Amazing Race.

Wow! That guide looks nifty. My friend in high school had something like that once, though it wasn't that color. It was white, but it was pretty much the same thing.

Re: The Simpsons

Yeah, this one came out in 2010 I think...it's great, apart from the fact that I can't take it anywhere, it's too heavy!
