Re: Favorite non-Hp book/Author #2

I'd have to say Heir Apprentice, and the Lightning Thief were pretty good books. I like the books by Tamora Pierce, especially her Circle of Magic books.

This list is in NO WAY exhastive! I spend most of my free time reading.

Re: Whose Youre Favorite Author

In no particular order:

P.G. Wodehouse: Everything he wrote was inspired, so I can't make a fair choice
J.R.R. Tolkien: I think you already know this...
M.R. James: The short stories 'A School Story' and 'Oh, Whistle, And I'll Come To You, My Lad'
H.P. Lovecraft: The short story 'Pickman's ModeI', but don't read it if you're easily disturbed
C.S. Lewis: The Narnia series
C.S. Forester: The Horatio Hornblower series
Ambrose Bierce: The Devil's Dictionary
Arthur Conan Doyle: The Lost World (The TV series was a very poor imitation)
Mark Twain: I can't choose
Rudyard Kipling: All of his poetry, especially 'The Mary Gloster'
John Bellairs (not to be confused with his lesser replacement, Brad Strickland): 'The Mummy, The Will, And The Crypt' and many others
Agatha Christie: Why Didn't They Ask Evans?
Stella Gibbons: Cold Comfort Farm

Antony Horowitz, i've read ( and loved ) pretty much all of his books. I'm totally mad about the Alex Rider books! I'm madly in love with the actor who plays Alex in the films - Alex Pettyfer - and i totally love the films!

I really like A Break With Charity by Ann Rinaldi. It's a historical fiction book about the Salem With Trials. And it's really good.

Re: Favorite non-Hp book/Author #2

I would say that Angels & Demons is probably my favorite non HP book. The Da VInci code gets all of the hype but I like Angels & Demons more.
