You're still using the Christmas style??? I love it so I use it well into February every year, but it starts to feel wrong after that! The UK DH skin is possibly even better, though! (The US one is a bit on the brown side ... )

Yeah, it is easy on the eyes. Things look more brighter and cheerful.

I would use the DH skin but due to the width it causes trouble in posting, and I don't want to change the screen setting.

Re: CoSForums Styles

Love the new US edition type. It's been redone great. That shrinking button for the UK edition is really helpful. I know I don't have to ask, but when will the US shrinking button come up?

edit: Ah-ha. It's now up. Thank you Ali.

For those of you who wanted 800x600 friendly width, here's a temporary fix:

clicky on the at the very top to change the size. Obviously this is cookie based, so if you delete your browser cookies, you'll have to click on it again.

(edit: make sure you clear your cache as an important file needs to be reloaded for the button to work)

Re: CoSForums Styles

You can go to 'Edit Options' under your 'Magical Me' and still change the 'Forum Skin' back to Hufflepuff there.

Re: CoSForums Styles

I love it! Both of them! They're fantastic.

How do I choose which one to go with?

They even come with 90% more excitement factor than previous layouts. Thats some bang for your buck!

(only 110 days!!!)

Good one Ali!

Re: CoSForums Styles

I really like the new styles. First I thought that the first one (UK) was a bit too light in the background, but therefore I'm really liking the US style Allthough those red voldyeyes are scary...

Re: CoSForums Styles

Just spotted the US DH style Really like both of the book styles (particularly how my icon has climbed onto the basilisk-in-the-snow-ball and is waving from the top Smiley-wavers prevail!!! Seriously though, they're both really awesome styles and really increasing my excitement over the covers) - thanks Ali!

Re: CoSForums Styles

A question regarding the US DH style, what is the symbol that represents if you're online or not?

It's a little jewels like in the UK skin. Ali must have stolen a lot of them from the Cover to give us all one!

Re: CoSForums Styles

I noticed something else. This is on the US DH Cover Style. This might not be a mistake, but the OWL part, where you can see your message inbox. It is different when you go to a thread, then when you are in the index.

It probably is not a mistake, I just noticed it.

I love the new styles. That rotating banner was murder for dial-up users.

Re: CoSForums Styles

Hi there if one switch the editor mode by US-Cover style then a small part of the reply window got a different colour. I'm not sure if that's by intention or not. I just tought you'll like to know. That said I really like that style though I've yet to get used to it.

Re: CoSForums Styles

Seriously, the US cover theme is awesome! I loved the UK one too, but the background's a bit too bright for my eyes (especially since I'm used to a dark blue one - the CoS original layout). Great job, Ali!

Edit: I'd also like to add that I love the Voldy eyes and glowing jewels look! Nice HP touch
