Re: Favorite non-Hp book #2

Normally I'd say any book by J.R.R Tolkien, but that answer gets boring after a while, so I'll say Angels and Demons by Dan Brown.

Hmmm, Lord of the Rings, Series of Unfortunate Events, Inkheart, and Inkspell. Any good book with some suspense and a good ending.

A Great and Terrible Beauty! I'd recommend it to anyone who loves Harry (who should be everyone reading this). However, I think girls would appreciate it more.

Non-Fiction: The Civil War by Shelby Foote

Quite possibly the finest all-encompassing US Civil War history ever written.

Fiction: The original Dragonlance Chronicles books by Magaret Weis and Tracy Hickman.

I read these way back when they first came out (I was in 8th grade I think-1984?) And I have re-read them numerous times since.

I like the sisters of the Quantock Hills quartet by Ruth Elwin Harris and The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen. I also really like Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery.

Anything by Tolkien, and The Hours by Michael Cunningham. There are loads more I like as well, though.

The Silverwing trigoly and mostly anything by Christopher Pike. Okay, so his books aren't my favorite or anything but they're the last thing I've reed so they stick in my head.

And now back to Harry Potter ...

That would have to be "The Lord of the Rings"by dear old Professor Tolkien. What can I say? J.K. Rowling learned from the best.

"The Thief of Always," by Clive Barker, is one of my all-time favorites.

Pride and Prejudice. I will never get tired of reading that book.
