What if they cut Dobby's death entirely??? They haven't put him in either the fourth or fifth movie... I'm betting he won't be in six or seven either.

[Side note: They always cut a LOT. What do you all think they will cut from DH?]
oh i hope they leave in Ron's return because its so sweet, especially when Ron cries and Harry tells him how much Hermione missed him. And the moment when Harry's not sure if Ron will destroy the locket or turn on him.

Just a thought as well but do you think to get rid of Dobby and the mirror since neither have been included in the last couple of films they'll just get harry to summon kreacher?

It's really hard to tell what the best scene will be, but my initial reaction was the seven Potters. That will look amazing if its done well. I also think Bill and Fleur's wedding will look great on the big screen

Not sure about the best but the worst will be the final scene because that will mean that it's all really over

I agree - the 7 potters scene was great but the fight in the coffee shop was good. The big battle at the end was fantastic.

It's VOLDEMORT, guys.....I don't know. Just some of that battle felt....too far on the good guys side then I think it should've been.
Didn't Harry mention to him in the Great Hall that he had used the same protection of love that his mother had placed on him when she died and so he couldn't kill anyone? This is all sounding a bit far fetched I'll have to check again

I'm kind of hoping they don't stay loyal to the book, specifically in the parts at the Ministry and Godric's Hollow. The Trio used polyjuice potion in those crucial parts, which was completely necessary to the plot, but I'd hate to see three random actors in these scenes rather than Emma, Dan, and Rupert.

Can you imagine the scene at Godric's Hollow, where Harry cries over his parents graves, played by a completely unknown character? The scene wouldn't be powerful or emotional at all!

Does anyone else agree?
I do, I do! I was thinking the same thing while I was reading those parts. Plus the Ministry scene, I think, will be greatly shortened in the movie; it would take too much time from the ending (which, of course, deserves the most attention). They could just as easily throw the invisibility cloak over the trio and have them find Umbridge sooner.

As for my thoughts on the best scene; for me, it would be "The Forest Again" chapter. I so hope they get the emotions right!

I can't wait for Molly and Belletrix part. That so funny, and really startling. I hope they do a long movie with an intermission.

You know, someone from Warner Brothers should be reading this.

I hope they make it a 3 1/2 hrs film, I think that would be plenty to suffice all this.

I have the horrible feeling that they will cut out the Molly/Bellatrix duel, least of all the cursing which was fab... Stupid cursing phobes...

Agreed.
I hope they realize how important this is, to SO many of us.

The FEAR in Harry as he prepares to sacrafice himself is what I want to see. The reality of death and the humanity of poor, scared, brave Harry. I want to see THAT, even though it was really torture to read.

Oh, and yes, I think Kreacher may substitute for Dobby in the rescue scene.

They better not cut too much from The Prince's Tale! I know some is explanitory but it is all so CHARACTER driven, and Rickman is a genious!

Oh, and I can't wait to see Maggie Smith sprinting with a herd of galloping, angry desks! "CHARGE!"

I think the single strongest visual would be Harry digging a small grave for Dobby.

Final Battle, I imagine it to be similar to the Department of Mysteries in the OOTP Movie.

Snape's memories, hopefully they'll do it justice and have more than just a few seconds.

The seven Harry's, one of my favourite parts of the book

Bill and Fleur's wedding

Final battle

yes, I hope they give Snape's memories the spotlight they deserve, as well as give the battles the intensity they need. They were fighting to live or die, not just bide time anymore. This was the last moment, the last chance.

I'm also going to be interested to see Hermione and Ron SNOG

Re: Which Deathly Hallows scene will be the best movie scene?

Battle of Hogwarts is one of them I really want to see. There was so much action. The Wedding I would like to see because it was somewhat peaceful. Grimmauld Place because it seemed cool.I want to see Ron and Hermione holding hands(he-he) and Harry going into Sirius rooms with all the posters and muggle girls in bikinis(I laughed at this part). Also I want to see Ron and Hermione's kiss no doubt. It was so funny because of harry shouting at them" OI! There is a war going on here". I want to see Harry and Ginny to. It was really Romantic and Hot. lol

Going through Snapes thoughts, and also his death. Hopefully they don't cut anything when they make that film.

Re: Which Deathly Hallows scene will be the best movie scene?

The final battle at Hogwarts of course. Although they will not achieve the images I have in my mind, I'm pretty sure this is going to be one of the best scenes ever. It's going to have action, funny bits (R/Hr's kiss, Harry's reaction, McGonagall being leader, tears from the deaths....I could go on. I hope this battle does justice in the screens as it does in the book.

Re: Which Deathly Hallows scene will be the best movie scene?

The final battle at Hogwarts should be amazing to watch.

I hope beyond hope that they include Dobby - but unless they include him in the HBP film I don't think they will put him in there or people who only watch the films and have never read the books will not understand why Harry (and every Potter fan in the cinema) is breaking his heart over a house elf from CoS!! Dobby DESERVES to be in the film.

That have to do justice to Snape.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if Xeno LoveGood didn't get to explain the Hallows symbol, and I wouldn't be surprised if Wormtail doesn't get to die by silver strangulation either.

The House-Elves running out with daggers and attacking the Death Eaters, obviously.

There are so many great scenes in the book, I'm afraid many will be lost in the adaptation.

Also, I think seeing Neville stand up to Voldemort while the battle lines are drawn will be great.
