As a long time reader of the Hercule Poirot mysteries, I have to say that David Suchet is about as close as you can get. I also love the Miss Marple books.

Yes, you should read them. They are short and easy to read. I have about 50 on my shelves. In the last year, quite a few of them have become available as e-books, and I've slowly been buying them. Usually when I replace a paper book with an e-book, I give it away. Not my Agatha Christie's. I can't part with them.

Now I'm waiting for the Nero Wolfe series in e-book.

I'm currently re-reading "Cat Among the Pigeons" (last read it when I was about eleven years old and had forgotten most of the plot twists) and I cannot put it down.

Re: Agatha Christie

I love Death on the Nile, The Mirror Crack'd from side to side, Death in the Vicarage and Hercule Poirot's christmas

I've always meant to read cat among the pigeons, but when I was working my way through my mum's Agatha Christie collection we got flooded and that was the next one in line...

I totally agree. That book is genius. I've read some other books by her, and don't get me wrong, they were quite awesome, but this one... took me a whole 3 hours to finish it. It's by far the best book (of the genre) I have ever laid eyes on. If you haven't read it, I strongly encourage you to.

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old who is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed be the blade that was broken: The crownless again shall be king.
