Malfoy, COS movie
As much as I dislike the CoS movie...that is one of my favourite lines from all of the movies! As you said, the delivery was perfect!

Quote:
Ron: Spiders... spiders... they want me to tap dance! I don't want to tap dance!
Harry: You tell those spiders, Ron.
Ron: I'll tell... I'll tell them... (snores loudly)
POA movie
That always makes me laugh!

Indeed he did. And a red velvet jacket. He also JUMPED up on Stan in the commentary. That boy KNOWS his inuendo, yes he does.

I love Ron.
I love that I think it's the funniest scene in the movies.

Neville Longbottom - "Oh my gosh! I've killed Harry Potter!"

Kingsley Shacklebolt - "Dumbledore's got style."

Hermione Granger - "I'm not an owl!"

Re: Funniest lines in the films?

I didn't like how Shacklebolt delievered "Dumbledore's got style." It sounded rather... lame.

I also remember the "THACK!" from Voldemort. I thought that was funny, but if he had said it a bit more... sinisterly? Or some kind of hissing with cackling? That'd be better.

Does any one have any links for pictures? I must see this.

And about the awkward "It's not a bad place for a bath" line...let's just say the H/Draco shippers now have to deal with H/Ced shippers...

Re: Funniest lines in the films?

I love how he delivered that line! It was just so slow and matter of fact, and then the way Fudge looked at him...

Most people don't remember Voldy's little "huh?" thing, or don't think it's funny. I don't know it just seemed so out of place, so it became really hilarious to me.

Anothe funny line:

"Barty Crouch" *croud gasps*
"...jooneeor"

The way he said that was brilliant!

I can't find a screencap of the leap, as it was in the additional material on the DVD, but I've got an icon of it, which you can see HERE.

(And I'll admit that I have little interest in Harry/Draco. I know it's based on the whole love-hate dynamic, but it doesn't appeal to me. Harry/Cedric works better for me personally. :-) )

Re: Funniest lines in the films?

PoA:
Ron: "The spiders...they want me to tap dance. I don't want to tap dance...!"
Harry: "You tell those spiders, Ron."
Haha, gets me every time.

Ron: "You're going to suffer, but you're going to be...happy about it." Or something like that. I laughed at that part.

GoF:
In the beginning when Hermione comes into the room where Harry and Ron are sleeping. She wakes up Ron and he goes, "Bloody hell..." when Hermione wakes him up. It was really funny to me, but maybe it's because I have a weird sense of humor.

Moody: *mumbling* "Stupid ceiling..."

Also, I laughed like a maniac when Durmstrang entered the hall. The guy break dancing was just hilarious.

Also:
Cedric:"How are you?"
Harry: "Spectacular..."
HAHA, I love Daniel Radcliffe's delivery. Priceless.

No you dont have a weird sense of humour. I laughed a lot too when I saw that in the movie. Or maybe I have a weird sense of humour too.

Oh, and another line that really made me laugh a lot was in OotP, when Umbridge is taken by the centaurs, Harry says " I am sorry, Professor, but I must not tell lies." Brilliant delivery and knowing what Umbridge had to look forward to really made me laugh.

Oh my God. I laughed a lot too. Dan's delivery was excellent. His attitude was like "I don't want to talk to you, so go away, and no asking how I'm feeling when you stole the girl I like. *growl*"

Yeah. Umbridge got what she deserved. And the delivery was great.

One of my favorites was this scene from GoF. A lot of people overlooked it.

Neville: You seem a bit tense, Harry.
Harry: Do I? *through clenched teeth*

Dan's delivery on that was AWESOME!

Re: Funniest lines in the films?

I LOVE;

cos -

Harry: Diagonelly.
Mrs Weasley: What did he say dear?
Mr Weasley: Diagonally.
Mrs Weasley: Though so,

"Dumbledore's got style."

"I see myself holding a pair of red woolen socks." - Dumbledore. (I think it's in the book, but it's still funny.)

GOF -

"Professer Dumbblydore." - Madame Maxime.

"What are you doing?"
"Teaching."
"Is that - is that a student?"

haha,

"He might have mentioned it."

god, there's so many more. (:

I love where Hermione's going;

"She's obviously sad about Cedric, guilty about kissing harry, worrying about failing her O.W.Ls, confused about liking Harry..." (etc..)

"What? That's impossible, no one can feel that much at once!"

"That's because you have the emotional range of a teaspoon."

"Everyone this is Loony, (woops) Luna Lovegood."

"I hope there's pudding." (:

Re: Funniest lines in the films?

As mentioned several times, Snape's "yes" and "obviously" lines are particularly awesome.

Mr. Weasley: "What is the function of a rubber duck?" He sounds so serious, too, which makes it even funnier.

Snape re veritaserum: "Know what it is?" His expression here is priceless... "as if". "The use of it on a student is, regrettably, forbidden, however..."

George: "Well done dragon!" *Snape and other fallen teachers get up*

Harry: "Who could've figured that out? It was completely mental."

Crouch Sr.: "Chinese Fireball, ooooo."

Sirius: "Why don't you run along and play with your chemistry set?"

Snape: "Potter and his friends may have simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time," Ron + Harry = what the..., lol.

Also, Lockhart assuring everyone that they will still have their Potions master after their duel is priceless.

Ahahaha Greatest Line ever! There was a mural at my school with a giant red dragon, and we'd stand infront of it and go "Chinese Fireball, OOOOO"

I know this was in the book, but it was just really well delivered in the movie:

(Referring to Harry's kiss with cho."

Ron: So...how was it?

Harry:Wet.

Just the awkward way Dan says this is hilarious.

Re: Funniest lines in the films?

Some of the funniest lines that I remember from the films :

OOTP

[Dumbledore has arrived at Harry's trial, which was moved up]
Cornelius Fudge: Oh! Albus... I see you got our notice about the time change of the hearing...
Albus Dumbledore: No, it seems to have been lost, but by a happy coincidence, I arrived at the Ministry three hours early.

I loved this line and the way that Michael Gambon delivered it -- it was pure Dumbledore !

Hermione Granger: GRAWP!
[Grawp looks in her face]
Hermione Granger: PUT! ME! DOWN!
[pause]
Hermione Granger: Now!
[Grawp complies]
Harry Potter: [while Hermione comes back in the midst of the trio] Seems you've got an admirer!

Nice !

Kingsley Shacklebolt: You may not like him, Minister, but you can't deny: Dumbledore's got style.

Just loved this line -- a true classic !

GOF

Ron: Hey, Hermione... you're a girl.
Hermione: Oh, well spotted.
Ron: [miming a dance] Come with one of us?
[Snape swiftly hits Ron on the head with a notebook]
Ron: Ow!

Nice one Ron, good old Captain Obvious !

Sirius Black: [in his letter] "Harry, I couldn't risk sending Hedwig. Since the World Cup the Ministry has been intercepting more and more owls, and she's too easily recognized. We need to talk, Harry, face to face. Meet me in the Gryffindor Common Room at one o'clock, this Saturday night. And make sure you're alone. Sirius. P.S...?
[the bird bites Harry's hand]
Harry: AH!
Sirius Black: "The bird bites."

[after the dragon has run into the teachers stand]
Fred: [yelling] Well done dragon!

Just loved that line...

[repeated line]
Dumbledore: At the sound of the cannon...
[cannon fires]

Now this line cracked me up !

Professor McGonagall: Professor Moody! Is that a student?
Professor Moody: Technically, it's a ferret

Dumbledore: Harry, feel free to treat yourself to a licorice snap. But be careful, they're a wee bit sharp.

I loved this line -- it made me laugh and it fit Dumbledore's character .

Professor McGonagall: Now, Mr. Weasley, place your right hand on my waist.
Ron: Where?

This line made me laugh for about a minute or so, and the look on Ron's face was classic!

Professor McGonagall: The house of Godric Gryffindor has commanded the respect of the wizarding world for nearly ten centuries. I will not have you, in one night, besmirching that name by behaving like a babbling, bumbling band of baboons!
Fred: [whispering to George] Try saying that five times fast.
George: [whispering] Babbling, bumbling band of baboons.
Fred: [whispering] Babbling, bumbling band of baboons.

Classic twins

Malfoy: [after Moody humilates him by turning him into a ferret and bouncing him up and down] My father will hear about this!
Professor Moody: Is that a threat?
[He steps forward, and Malfoy runs around the tree, Moody following]
Professor Moody: Is that a threat? Is that a threat?
[Malfoy flees]
Professor McGonagall: Professor Moody! Professor!
Professor Moody: [yelling after him ] I could tell you stories about your father that would curl even your greasy hair, boy!
Professor McGonagall: Alastor!
Professor Moody: It doesn't end here!
Professor McGonagall: Alastor, we never use transfiguration as a punishment. Surely Dumbledore told you that?
Professor Moody: He might have mentioned it.
Professor McGonagall: Well then. Do well to remember it!
[She stalks off, and Moody makes a face at her retreating back]

Loved this scene -- Malfoy deserved it!
