The Halo thread

This thread is to discuss the Halo series on XBox, XBox 360, and PC.

Has anybody played Halo 3 yet? I haven't had a chance to buy it yet because funds are kind of short at the moment. I was just wondering what you thought of it.

Re: The Halo thread

I've played the first two, and while they were good I don't really understand all the hype. The story line doesn't make any sense unless you read the books, but the second game doen't fit with the books. The conversations could be hard to follow without reading the books, too. Phrases like "MAC gun", and the reference to "the fleet that destroyed Reach" at the beggining of Halo 2 are never explained in the games themselves.

Re: The Halo thread

Oh my, my best friend is Halo-obsessed..his 16th birthday party involves Halo lol

I've played Halo 3, and you know, it's cool. Some of the weapons aren't that good because they are short-range and you can't really block yourself. But there is some really sweet stuff on there.

Not explained in the games, no, but all I did was read the inside cover on the booklet that came with the game. In Halo 1's booklet it gave a bit of backstory and the fall of Reach. Easy enough.

As for Halo 3.... It's easy and repetitive.

Re: The Halo thread

I played Halo 3 at my friends house. Me and his other friend kicked his butt all across Val Halla (thankyou, mancannon!). We had this rule (that was caused by me), that whenever someone got into the banshee, the other two teamed up on them. I kicked their butts, and so the rule was formed.

Re: The Halo thread

Halo is fun, but I suck at it lol. Some of my friends and I play, and I get pwnt everytime! Every once in a while I get lucky, but more often than not I'm gunned down or blown up by a grenade and I don't even know which direction I'm being hit from! Or, we're all attacking some aliens and my friends "accidentally" blow me up. That is so frustrating! lol Generally, I don't really like the first person type games much, but Halo is tolerable.

Re: The Halo thread

This thread needs to be revived. I play Halo almost everyday. I've won a few tournaments, and I think I'm pretty decent.

If anyone wants to play Halo3 online, my gamertag is BigTiggaLuvz. I also play Halo2 sometimes online, and I play on BigTiggaROFLz for that.

Halo 3 is really fun to play online, I'm not that great at it though, mediocre I suppose.

Re: The Halo thread

I like the Halo multiplayer more than the two player co-op. Though I love both, multiplayer is just awesome and I own everyone.
