Re: St Trinians

I went to see it without really wanting to, but I really enjoyed it! I'd probably even buy it on DVD once it came down in price a bit.

Yes i've seen it - and i absolutely loved it. It was so funny and clever. It seems like such a fun school to go to, lol! But i wouldn't want to be the new student! That prank with the clothes and me wouldn't bond well! :P Also the theme song by Girls Aloud is great.

Haha, I know a guy who was living in the UK for a while who told me about this movie, it sounds pretty funny... any plans for it to come to North America?

It's already out on DVD so I doubt it - it's the sort of British film that wouldn't do well overseas.

Ah. Oh well, thanks anyway.

Re: St Trinians

It comes out here in Australia in September. I'm looking forward to hiring it out and watching it again. If I like it enough I'll probably buy it.

Re: St Trinians

I had never seen the originals, but I picked this up on DVD the other day and I really liked it. I thought it was clever, funny and I always love films revolving around boarding schools. Rupert Everett was fantastic! I loved the whole playing two different parts thing.

I really liked the Flash character, thought it was a great idea! And the ways the girls tried to stop others from winning the quiz was cool!

And the Darcy reference! With Colin Firth wearing a wet shirt! Classic moment!

Re: St Trinians

The early ones (fifties) are good. The later "Great St Trinian's train robbery" less good. Flash Harry was created by George Cole as an archetypal wartime spiv- I thought it a pity he wasn't given a cameo role in the latest

There's another one coming out next year.

Re: St Trinians

Is there really? Same actors and ideas? I just thought it was very clever, and the costuming with the same basic theme was excellent.

And I loved the introductory scenes in the dorm room, with all the different groups and cliques. But for me it really was Rupert Everett who stole the show. Total genius.
