Re: Dresden Files (Jim Butcher) 2.0

Yeah, I only bought one and that came in a book with other author's short stories. So it'll be great to have one with most of Jim Butcher's short stories in it.

Here's someone looking a lot forward the short stories too, mostly because I never managed to order many of them in past.
Spoiler: show
Hmm...what about "Die alone"? I mean, it's really subject to interpretation, but I wonder if this counts.

I think "die alone" was fulfilled. So Harry would be out from under that death curse. But "He died doing the right thing." To me that says he died by putting his life at risk to do what's right, maybe even doing something he didn't really want to do, something he knew wasn't a smart thing to do, but what he knew was right. I don't think that's been fulfilled.

"Die alone" is what I thought when reading this. I wonder if this means that Cassius' death curse is now not a concern.

8 days left! I can't wait to read Aftermath. I think I may have to skip to that story first!

Spoiler: show
I kind of feel like "die alone" would be fulfilled no matter what happens. Like his dad said, everyone dies alone, but I don't know, I feel like there might be some alternate meaning to it too. I mean, its not like Harry doesn't have friends or family. No girlfriend or wife at the time of death, but I still wouldn't say he's alone. Or maybe it could mean that Harry will die before he ever hooks up with a true love, which could very well be Murphy.

The book of short stories that I bought was about $10(US) from Amazon. It was soft-cover, I believe.

Not too bad. I'll have to add it to my 'get it someday' list.

Re: Dresden Files (Jim Butcher) 2.0

Is it a book of only his short stories, and all of them in just one book? Because if it is I'll definitely get it, but I don't want to go collect them by buying a lot of them with half of the short stories being uninteresting to me.

All but I believe it's two, because of some technical issue, I think.

The one short story by Jim Butcher in that book may be in the one do to release. I can't remember.

There were 5 authors in the book. Only one story was by JB. The others were a pretty good read, though. So you may enjoy it.

Re: Dresden Files (Jim Butcher) 2.0

Till Side Jobs, the collection of Jim's short stories about Harry, will be released. Impatiently awaited for particular due to the yet unpublished short story 'Aftermath', which will start off right where Changes had end.

Spoiler: show
Doubtfully we get any full or even half explanations about Harry, but it's still something I'd like to miss.

'welcome.

I usually miss such things myself, so no problem. I wonder what actually we will see, though. My best guess is that it's mostly about others detecting that Harry
Spoiler: show
is dead, missing or similar, and about organising things, but not so much about what happens to Harry next. That seems to be left for 'Ghost Story'.

Yea same here. Is it going to be on his site, or is it something that you have to buy via store? If it's the latter -- it'll have to wait -- since I have a video game I'm looking forward to (the third Golden Sun -- took 7 years for it to come out), that I'll be getting first.

Good guess. That makes some sense there.

Spoiler: show
I wonder how his friends and such will react to this news...

Spoiler: show
It is told from Murphy's POV. I can't wait to get inside her head!

Speaking of Murphy, I wonder if Jim will ever publish Hawaii, the short story about Murphy and Kincaid's trip (during Dead Beat). I always wondered how she broke her arm...
