So excited to see if they incorporate "In Noctem" to the film!! This is the first time I've ever wished it was Sunday on a Saturday morning. (I really wish they would air it tonight instead of tomorrow).

I know. I'm so excited for Sunday. I was worried I wouldn't be able to watch it, due The Amazing Race conflicting with it, but I don't care. I'm watching it anyway. I don't know if I'll be able to stay up till eleven, but I'll try.

Woo! I usually always go home from college on the weekends of the HP marathons (to where I don't get ABC Family) but I will be here this weekend! I have yet to see any of the movies with the deleted scenes included, so I cannot wait to see them.

Re: ABC Family's Versions of the HP movies

I just watched the ABC Family Extended version of Half-Blood Prince for the first time.
Wow…. the extended version of Half-Blood Prince with all the deleted scenes in it is so damn beautiful! I loved how all the deleted scenes fit in with it. Especially the In Noctem scene. It was amazing. Definitely my favorite extended version of any of the movies so far.

Re: ABC Family's Versions of the HP movies

Yes, the deleted scenes made the movie run so much smother. It didn't have that chopped up and pieced back together feeling that the original did. Fingers crossed that they release the "full" version on DVD. That would be great. I can even bite my tongue and take the "burning of the burrow" scene to see the scene of Alan Rickman as Snape, standing by the huge window, contemplating what the future holds for him with the beautiful choir singing in the background...less the "12 Dates of Christmas" ad, of course.

I thought it was absolutely gorgeous!

Not sure it's my favorite, yet, though. I can't even watch GoF on DVD anymore - I feel cheated every time they skip Hoggy Warty Hogwarts and Karkaroff deciding the Yule Ball is the perfect time to confront Snape about the darkening Dark Mark.

I was hoping beyond hope that somehow Fam had "accidentally" deleted that scene.

Now I'm looking forward to DH1. Will Fam show us who actually got married, rather than the DVD version where you're expected to notice that banner with the names?

I nearly through something at my TV when that stupid ad--it must have been 1/3 of the screen--came up! Why there? It was so annoying! And it seems they cut off the beginning of the song--what's that about?

For my "In Noctem" fix I visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ro-v...eature=related

Thats just the way it is in the deleted scene. I think it was very poor they didn't put the start of the song back in.

I've made my own edits of each film with deleted scenes back in similar to those shown on ABC Family, including a combined version of DH1 and DH2, and have them on DVD now

I saw one hour of HBP last night, and just the last hour today. So, I wish I had seen the whole movie.

Re: ABC Family's Versions of the HP movies

Good lord. Here in the west it was just too late for working folk. I think the scene of the protected castle warding off death eater smokies was new.(?) I didn't get to see any others. I havent read this entire thread, so forgive me if I ask, is there a link to the deleted scenes?

Re: ABC Family's Versions of the HP movies

I'd like that link too. I missed a lot simply cause I had to get up early for work. I am glad that HBP was on again today, but I was at work until 5 and with traffic I got home after 6.

I didn't watch but heard about the pop up ad. I hate those! Glad I didn't watch now, it would have made me furious!

Re: ABC Family's Versions of the HP movies

The only new scene that I felt didn't fit in well was the one with the Trio on the Astronomy Tower. You could tell where they edited back in the conversation about Hermione and Ron snogging- the music stopped and it just felt very chopped up to me. I already had enough problems with this scene to begin with, so this definitely didn't help.

I thought the rest of it worked really well, though. "I am with you" and In Noctem were fantastic, but of course they had to put commercials in between them and the massive pop-up ad at the beginning of the song...

Re: ABC Family's Versions of the HP movies

Ah, I loved the deleted scenes from HBP. It made more sense in the movie, especially Snape looking out the window with the choir singing. That was cool.
