Alfred Enoch as Dean Thomas

I just discovered that Alfred Enoch has not been included in the cast for "THE DEATHLY HALLOWS". Why? His role, Dean Thomas, has a major part in the second half of the story.

WHAT?!?! I love Alfie, and Dean. That character (and actor) is one of my favorites. I will miss him!

What?! Are you serious? I love Dean Thomas. He's one of my favourite characters.. Alfie is exactly what I imagine him to look like, and he portrays him well with the little he has. This is dissapointing.

He should definitely be included in DH! That's the whole part leading up to why Ron leaves. If they exclude this, they'll have to make up for it BIG TIME.

However, I know that Griphook and Gornuk will be in DH, so probably Ted Tonks as well. Hopefully they haven't shot "The Goblin's Revenge" yet, and they'll be recasting Alfred soon.

Re: Alfred Enoch as Dean Thomas

But Alfie has to be in this movie! He plays Dean so well! If they recast him I'll ... I'll ... I'll write to the Directors mother! Not sure that would help in the slightest, but oh well, it's worth a shot.

That's insane!!! Have they booted him off or did he decide not to return? He has a huge part in DH and if they replace him I'll be so angry!

Re: Alfred Enoch as Dean Thomas

Even though Dean is my favorite, I would like to see all of the Gryffindor boys continue through the series end. It just seems right.

It would be completely stupid to not have Dean's character in DH. I mean, he's been in it all the way up to this point, why ditch him now? And, unlike the other ones, he actually plays a role for DH. I could see ditching a character like Seamus before Dean for DH.

I agree! It's downright silly to keep him in six movies when he doesn't even have lines, and then in the final installment where he has more to do than twice the amount in all the previous six movies put together, you drop him?!??!

Why in the world?

I like him, I think he'll be good in DH!

Re: Alfred Enoch as Dean Thomas

I can't understand not having him in the movie now, but they could really easily replace him with another character. The only thing that makes him Dean is that he is Ginny's ex-boyfriend. And those feelings don't matter on-screen nearly as much, since no pained look on Harry's face can make up for what a writer can describe. So they're probably going to use Seamus. Or recast. But that would be foolish.

I hope it's not true, they should keep him, quite a few people did notice him I think.

I just wish they'd have given him atleast one line in HBP.

Re: Alfred Enoch as Dean Thomas

I'm confused and may have missed something. Besides his PS line about the remebrall and snogging Ginny in HBP, what has Dean done in the films for so many people to like him so much?

Re: Alfred Enoch as Dean Thomas

Dean Thomas is one of those characters who doesn't really say or do much in the series he's part of, but cannot be viewed as being anything less than undeniably cool.
