Re: Your country's traditional foods

Living in the midwest of America, our "traditional" or stereotypical foods are stuff like:

Casseroles (a kind of dish where alot of ingerdients are mixed together and baked)
Pasta dishes
Mashed potatoes, Green beans, Corn
French Fries
Grilled Cheese
Sub Sandwiches (also known as "hoagies" or "heroes")
Poor Boy sandwiches
Italian Beef Sandwiches
Scrambled eggs
Fish Fry's (similar to British fish and chips, I think)
Stews/Chilis/Hearty Soups/Goulash
and of course, the dreaded "Fast Food"

Oh and we call all colas/soft drinks "Pop".

The American midwest is a very "meat and potatoes" kind of place. (Culinarily speaking, lol).
